Boston City Singers Auditions
for Young Singers of all Ages

Summary:
Boston City Singers, Boston's acclaimed Youth Chorus, is pleased to announce interviews and auditions for young people ages 5-18 for the 2007-2008 season. Training Chorus programs are available at several locations in Dorchester, South Boston, and Jamaica Plain for children ages 5-12. No former experience is necessary.

Boston City Singers' two Dorchester-based Concert Choruses accepts young people ages 11-18 with prior experience and a strong interest in singing. Vocal coaching, collaborative performances, national and international touring opportunities, distinctive and challenging repertoire await you! For more information and appointments, please call:

Who:
Boston City Singers, Boston's acclaimed youth and children's chorus, was founded in 1995 as the Dorchester Division of Youth pro Musica and became independent in 2003. BCS provides the highest level of musical training and extensive performance opportunities to young people of all ages designed to inspire personal development, emphasize the rewards of teamwork, celebrate diversity and foster goodwill within our city and the Greater Boston area. Boston City Singers derives its strength from over 300 young singers, ages 5-18, who represent Boston's extensive multicultural population and share a common love for singing. BCS's four training choruses and one Concert Chorus provide a rich experience for young people of all ages.

Boston City Singers -- ambassadors of our community and city -- represent the very best the city has to offer. BCS singers work with visiting international choral directors, choreographers, and composers on concert stages throughout the region, and at many of Boston's significant civic events. BCS was recently honored by the invitation to sing at the 2006 Organization of American Kodály Educators' National Conference (Springfield, MA). BCS also represented Boston at the prestigious "Sing a Mile High" Choral Festival at Denver, Colorado in July 2006. In the summer of 2007, BCS sang on tour in New Zealand and Australia.

September and October auditions for the 2007-08 concert season now underway, welcoming young singers, ages 5-18, from the Metro Boston Area
